Roger D. Feldhans took the photos that grace the front of BeJae's web site, which he has generously allowed us to use. He has captured some of the most compelling photos of Iowa's roots musicians anywhere. He's also compiling what is fast becoming a singularly beautiful and complete collections of rural farm images. His photo walks with friends produce legendary collections that he often shares on facebook. His tie-dye art is stunning and abundant -- with different works backgrounding the performance space at Byron's. He and Byron Stuart together have made Pomeroy, IA a beating heart of creativity, community, and music in the state and the Midwest. We're pretty sure he really does have the funniest pants, too. Thank you, Roger.
Bryan Farland and his wife, Pat Farland, have long been fixtures in following the Des Moines and broader Iowa music scenes. Even when Bryan taught science full-time, he began capturing some of these acts through photography. With his imaginative framing and an eye for telling detail, he has taken a number of amazing photos of BeJae, which he has kindly consented to our posting on this site. His pithy haiku on facebook are not to be missed. Bryan, thank you.
Patrick Bloom and Mud Dauber Records. Patrick created Mud Dauber Records as a musicians' collective, or as he expresses it here:
BeJae is pleased to be part of the Mud Dauber family, which includes Patrick Bloom, the Gilded Bats, Matthew Grimm and the Red Smear, Whitney Mann, the Mayflies, Sad Iron Music, and Thankful Dirt.
